Meta Debuts VR Glasses, Muse Charm, and AI Agent Push
Meta unveiled new VR glasses, the Muse Charm pendant, and expanded AI agent capabilities at its annual Connect event.

At its annual Connect event in Menlo Park, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg introduced new hardware and a significant push into AI agents. The company debuted new VR glasses and the Muse Charm, a dedicated hardware device for its Muse AI agent. The Muse Charm is described as a standalone AI gadget, resembling a chunky smartwatch without a strap, and is expected to launch in December.
Meta also announced that its Muse AI agent will be integrated into its smart glasses, including the newly unveiled models. Users will be able to activate Muse by voice command and delegate tasks such as personalized workouts, meal logging, appointment booking, and product purchasing. The company stated that Muse will operate in the background and check in upon completion of tasks. Muse will also be coming to Mac, allowing users to delegate tasks to the agent across desktop applications.
Zuckerberg emphasized Meta's commitment to Muse, highlighting its potential to become a personal superintelligence for billions. The Muse agent, which launched in early September, is designed to handle everyday tasks by connecting to user apps and services. Meta also announced a new feature allowing Muse users to conjure a distinct digital avatar for their agent and video chat with it in real time, powered by the Muse Realtime Avatar AI model.
