AI startup Reflection signed a computing deal worth over $1 billion with Nebius.
"Huge compute deal for Reflection! They're locking in serious power to build their open-source AI. Game on."
AI startup Reflection has signed a computing deal exceeding $1 billion with Nebius. Reflection, founded in 2024, is developing open-source AI technology. Nebius, described as a European AI infrastructure company, will provide Reflection with access to compute resources.
This deal follows a similar agreement Reflection made to access SpaceX’s computing resources. Reflection has received funding from backers including Nvidia, Sequoia Capital, and Lightspeed Venture Partners. Nebius previously signed a five-year infrastructure deal with Meta and a multi-year deal with Microsoft.
The agreement highlights the ongoing race among AI firms to secure computing power for training and deploying their models. Reflection is an Nvidia-backed AI startup. The deal is focused on providing Reflection with access to chips.
This deal underscores the critical need for computing resources in the AI sector. Businesses developing AI models must secure significant infrastructure to remain competitive and advance their technology.
