Anthropic has reportedly entered into a $10 billion computing deal with AI cloud startup Volta. This agreement follows Anthropic's recent expansion of cloud partnerships, as the company aims to aggressively increase its compute capacity.
The deal will see Volta provide cloud compute services to Anthropic over a six-year period. Volta, which has a valuation of $2.4 billion and is backed by Nvidia, is part of Nvidia’s Cloud Partner program. Bitdeer, a crypto-mining company, will assist Volta in developing a data center in Norway, which will have a 133-megawatt capacity and utilize Nvidia’s Vera Rubin systems. Anthropic has also recently announced compute deals with SpaceX and Amazon.
