Alibaba's own testing suggests Qwen3.8-Max's performance broadly matches or exceeds Anthropic's Fable 5 on benchmark tests, and it ranks highly on the crowdsourced model-comparison platform Arena.AI.
Qwen3.8-Max boasts 2.4 trillion parameters, a measure of the settings a model learns during training.
