Plaud Launches AI Earbuds with eSIM-Enabled Case

Plaud has launched new AI earbuds, named Plaud One, which adopt a style similar to Apple's AirPods. These earbuds are designed to record calls, while their case can record in-person conversations or take notes. The Plaud One Explorer Edition can be worn as traditional earbuds or utilized through its standalone charging case.
The Plaud One's case supports an eSIM card, allowing users to remotely instruct Plaud's AI agents without a phone or computer. The earbuds can record six hours of in-person meetings and three hours of calls on a single charge, with the case extending total recording time to 25 hours. Buyers receive 300 minutes of free transcription monthly, with additional plans starting at $8.33 per month (paid annually). The device is available for preorder at $249 and will ship in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Plaud's AI agents can connect to tools like Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack to perform tasks such as writing follow-up emails or creating documents based on conversations. The company plans to introduce agentic capabilities and a credit-based system for tasks, with Plaud One buyers receiving $200 in credits. This launch is described as a trial run, with limited quantities to gauge demand for AI-focused earphones.
