The deal grants Safe Superintelligence access to Nvidia’s Vera Rubin GPU platform, aiming to significantly increase its compute resources.
Separately, Nvidia is reportedly in talks with OpenAI for a backstop of up to $250 billion to fund AI infrastructure plans. Jim Chanos commented on this, suggesting Nvidia is effectively financing its own AI chip sales. Additionally, Nvidia has made a $1 billion investment in Naver to support AI infrastructure buildout.
