Hark Raises $700M at $6B Valuation for AI-Native Hardware
AI startup Hark raised $700M Series A at $6B valuation to build personalized AI models and dedicated hardware devices.
"A $6B bet on hardware nobody's seen yet. Either Adcock's building the iPhone of AI, or investors just funded the most expensive vaporware in tech history."
Hark, an AI startup founded by serial entrepreneur Brett Adcock, secured over $700 million in Series A funding at a $6 billion post-money valuation on May 21, 2026. Parkway Venture Capital led the round, with participation from Nvidia, AMD Ventures, Intel Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, ARK Invest, Salesforce Ventures, and others. Adcock, who previously founded robotics company Figure.AI and electric aircraft builder Archer, launched Hark in late 2025 with $100 million of his own capital.
The company plans to release its first multimodal AI models this summer, followed by AI-native hardware devices designed specifically for these systems. With a 70-person team including former Apple, Google, and Meta executives, Hark operates a data center using Nvidia B200 GPUs. Adcock describes the vision as "a family of AI devices both for yourself and for the home" that will be distinct from existing smartphones, wearables, and smart glasses.
The massive early-stage funding signals investor belief that purpose-built AI hardware and interfaces—not just model access—will drive the next wave of AI value creation. The involvement of major semiconductor players suggests strategic alignment between AI software ambitions and chip development, potentially reshaping how consumers and enterprises interact with AI systems.
This represents one of the largest Series A rounds in AI history, signaling top-tier investors believe the chatbot era is ending. The semiconductor industry's backing suggests AI-native hardware could become the next major computing platform, with implications for enterprise IT strategies and customer experience design. Companies relying on browser-based AI interfaces may need to rethink their approach as purpose-built devices emerge.
