Amazon's Bee Launches Two New Personal AI Devices
Amazon-owned Bee launched two new personal AI devices, starting at $74.99.
"Amazon's new Bee AI gadgets are here! Summarize everything, buy stuff, and get organized. Your life just got a whole lot more Amazon-ified."
Amazon's Bee has introduced two new personal AI devices: the Bee Frontier and the Bee Eclipse. The Bee Frontier, priced at $74.99, is an updated wearable, while the $99.99 Bee Eclipse is a credit-card-sized recorder that attaches to smartphones. These are the first new AI devices from Bee since its acquisition by Amazon last year.
The devices are designed to summarize conversations, create to-do lists, and integrate with Alexa and Amazon shopping. The Bee Frontier offers IP67 water resistance, up to seven days of battery life, and dual microphones. Both devices feature a single button for power and an indicator light when summarizing conversations. A new subscription, Bee Pro, is available for $11.99 per month, offering unlimited conversation summaries and integrations with Amazon.com, Alexa+, and third-party applications.
Bee devices utilize a private computing security architecture that processes audio in real time and then deletes it, with encrypted conversation transcripts. The devices can connect to Alexa, allowing Echo devices to use Voice ID for recording conversations. They also work with existing productivity software like Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook, and can integrate with Apple's HealthKit.
This launch expands Amazon's presence in the personal AI device market, offering new tools for productivity and integration with its ecosystem. Businesses can leverage these devices for improved note-taking, task management, and seamless integration with Amazon services and existing productivity software.
